The office is located in a typical urban village in Guangzhou, at the fringe of central business district. The urbanization nearby erases the lives here in a rapid way, the dense and chaos of environment embeds distinctive qualities, which we treat it valuable in our approach.
The design task is to transform the small area into a space for architects to work and live, meanwhile to provide flexible usages. Due to the low budget, the overall cost is controlled within 20,000 RMB (furniture inclusive). Design becomes direct reactions to changes and restriction in construction process.
